I had the opportunity to review some back-to-school products from Lovable Labels, a Canadian-based company that has over 400 independent agents throughout the U.S. and Canada. Yes, TJ officially went back to school today in the big kid class at preschool! Last year was our first day of school ever, so this was our first BACK to school day!

Lovable Labels BearPreschoolers don’t need much as far as school supplies go, but they do need to bring backpacks to transport paperwork back and forth, and they need to carry a change of clothes (in case of accidents) and any seasonal clothing items that they need. The preschool asks that parents label all items with their kids names. Last year, this meant taking a Sharpie to all of his tags. Thankfully “TJ” is pretty easy to write.

But this year? TJ’s got his name displayed with style! Lovable labels sent us quite an  assortment of personalized name labels, their Back to School Mega Pack:

  • 15 sticker labels
  • 60 slimline labels
  • 48 Press N’ Stick clothing labels
  • 16 shoe labels
  • 2 Mini-Metal tags
  • 5 Book/Binder stickers

We chose to get black and white labels with the fire truck design. The labels are dishwasher safe, microwave safe, washer safe, and dryer safe. Phew! They provided a much more professional-looking image of everything that comes with the Back to School Mega Pack, so I’ll show you their catalog photo, which also shows you some of the other color and design options:

I can attest to the durability of these stickers. When putting them into TJ’s sneakers, I didn’t get one of them quite as straight as I wanted it to be – but that bad boy was stuck on good, and there was no budging it! It’s on the inside of his shoe, so no one is really going to see it except for me and my OCD… but when you need to place these labels, make sure you get it right the first time!

I did find the dog tags (Mini-Metal tags) a little tricky to get the chain hooked and unhooked, but other than that, I was quite pleased with the name labels.

The Back to School Mega Pack normally retails for $44.95 CDN/USD, but Lovable Labels is offering a 10% discount for Cutest Kid Ever readers! Just use coupon code cutestkidever when you place your order. The coupon code is valid for only two weeks, so be sure to place your order by Wednesday, September 23, 2009!
