So Christmas in July continues, this time with a Things Remembered photo contest! Things Remembered is running a holiday photo contest (not just Christmas…it could be Hannukah or another holiday your family celebrates) where the winners receive $200!

My Things Remembered Holiday Photo Contest Entry

We  took this photo on Christmas Day 2009. TJ was four years old, and he was enjoying opening a second round of presents at Grandma Kitty’s apartment. At this point in time, though, he had already opened pretty much everything with his name on it… but that didn’t stop him from crawling under the Christmas tree to read the gift tags on the remaining unopened presents. I love the look on his face in this shot…between the bright sunlight streaming in through the sliding glass door and the effort of trying to read something that didn’t say “TJ,” he really had to work at it. He could read a surprising number of words at that age, though, so I think he got it right!
