Dear TJ,

You’ve been using a lot of nonsense words lately. You’re driving Daddy crazy with it; he’s raised his voice more than once asking you to stop it. Sometimes it’s just that you add a constant to the beginning of your words, like singing the alphabet, “Zay zee zee zee zee zeff zee, zaych zie zay zay zell zem zen zoe zee…” Sometimes you answer questions with words that don’t exist. That’s when I get frustrated, when you won’t answer my question in words I can understand.

I hope this is just a phase.

Love,
Mommy

  1. its all about practicing sounds and exploring what your mouth does when you say….zzzzeeeeeeeee. ..etc.. Kids like the hum and melody of thier own voices – it reverberating around thier head.
its a phase – maybe suggest other sounds and get him to follow you on some voice exercises?

  2. I’d totally do it back. I’d be like “zood zorning, zaby. Zhat zo zou zant zor zreakfast?” It’s not weird or anything, it’s just something kids do. One day it will be gone and you’ll miss it. zoo zill, i zwear.
