TJ got his hair cut for the summer yesterday. We’d braced ourselves for the usual tears, screaming, and wrestling that has made up all of his previous haircut experiences, but we hoped it would be different.

And we had a big, brave boy.

Though there was a bit of squirming in the chair, TJ didn’t scream and cry while the Snip Its stylist cut his hair. She’s been the one to cut his hair every time we’ve gone there, I think.

He asked for a lollipop and sucked on it while his hair got cut, while Tom blew bubbles at him with a bubble wand.

There were a few tears at the end when she trimmed the hair on his neck and over his ears with the little buzzing thing, but that was it.

He got to get his “hair prize” from the “hair machine,” and he was very proud of himself. We also took him to dinner at Friendly’s as a treat for being so brave. Overall, it went very well!
