I asked my mom friends on Twitter:

What is one thing you’d like for Mother’s Day that CAN’T be bought?

I got a variety of answers. (Love some of these!)

  • MrsMoNJ wants: Baby #2 without the labor 🙂
  • hurriedhomemakr wants: To sleep in!
  • Nikki_S wants: a day with no kids arguing. Everyone gets along and helps one another. Do I HAVE to choose just ONE THING??
  • TheAngelForever wants: good health for all of my family members. Of course, on a lighter note…I would also love a day to sleep and do what I want.
  • typeamom wants: Time of course! Oh, and QUIET!
  • evolvingmommy wants: Help with planting my garden is my Mother’s Day wish.
  • MommaIncredible wants: I would loooove a baby… Not. Gonna. Happen. #infertility [you deserve a hug!]
  • FireMom says: I’m not the one to ask about Mother’s Day. For me, and for others, recognition by society for non-traditional mothers. Stepmoms, birth mothers, adoptive moms, foster moms, mothers of miscarriage, mothers of infant loss. List goes on. [I’m good with that!]

I may add more to the list as the tweets keep coming in, or you can leave a comment… What would you like for Mother’s Day that money can’t buy?

  1. My youngest child has Autism. She is eight years old and does not have any friends outside of school. I would love for her to be able to socialize with other little girls her age. That would be the best Mother’s day gift ever!!

  2. Time… to scrapbook mostly! And motivation… to get my curtains sewn so I don’t have to worry about my 3 year old running around the house after his bath nakey… 🙂

  3. More time with my kids. That’s what I plan on doing mother’s day – spending it on a date day with my kids (movies, lunch, something). I am a working mom and feel like I never get enough time with them!
