You melted Mommy’s heart last night.

We were having our usual Sunday night dinner at Pizza Hut, and you were coloring on your placemat with crayons. You were given several chances to stop throwing the placemat and crayons on the floor. Daddy warned you they would get taken away if you did it again, but you did it anyways.

And Daddy took them away. You started to cry and throw a tantrum because you wanted your crayons back. Through your tears, you suddenly looked up at Daddy with a small, sad voice and said, “I’m sowwy.”

It was so sincere.

My eyes welled up with tears. Daddy gave your placemat and crayons back. Your grandparents were all touched by your sincerity, too.

Of course, a while later, you threw everything on the floor again. Without missing a beat or starting to have a tantrum, you looked at Daddy with wide eyes and said, “Sowwy! Sowwy! Sowwy!” You’re a quick learner, but it didn’t work that time. Silly boy.
