TJ is just starting the “kiss it and make it better” stage where he wants Mommy and Daddy to kiss his boo-boos, real and imagined. When he bumps his head, we kiss it to make it better. When he gets a scratch on the back of his hand, he asks us to kiss it to make it better.

A few minutes ago, he just came over and told me, “Mine butt hurts.” After a little prodding, I found that it didn’t hurt because of any trouble going potty, but because he bumped it and hurt it that way. So, of course, he had a request for me.

“Mommy, kiss mine butts aaaaaand make it better.”

He had his hand on the seat of his pants rubbing the spot that hurt. So I did what a good Mommy does… I bent down and kissed his butt.
