Dear TJ,

Last Sunday, you ate your first balanced meal ever at Grandma Debbie’s house. You had chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and chocolate milk. Meat, starch, veggie, and dairy in one sitting! I was so proud of you.

You were so sick Monday night. You’d had a great day with Grandma Kitty, but then you came home and threw up on Daddy. I had to keep you home from school the next day, even though you were back to your old self, because they have a 24-hour no-vomit rule.

And of course, Tuesday was election night. Daddy and I stayed up to listen to Barack Obama’s acceptance speech because this is such an exciting time. We didn’t get up to bed until 12:30. Unfortunately, you woke up around 1:30 and started throwing up again. You were so sad, so sick, and so pitiful.

Daddy stayed home from work on Wednesday to take care of you. He fed you crackers and Pedialyte all day.

You got to go back to school on Thursday, and Miss Maureen said you had your best day ever! You went potty. You didn’t like the snack, but you at least tried it. You had a GREAT day. We were all so proud of you.

Friday was pretty uneventful. Considering the early part of the week, that was a good thing!

We’ll see what Saturday brings, other than grocery shopping. We really should get you a new haircut.

Love,
Mommy
