Dear TJ,
You’ve been extra cute this week. We’ve been watching DVDs every evening – a welcome change from the same old shows on Noggin. You want to watch the same one(s) all the time, but we’ve managed to add a few more to your repertoire. So far this week, we’ve watched Lady and the Tramp, Cars, 101 Dalmatians, and Enchanted.
Enchanted is one of my favorite movies, so I didn’t mind watching it more than once with you. You’re getting more into music now, so every time a song comes on, you want to dance with me! We were dancing to “That’s How You Know” earlier this week, and you started singing along! You have a breathy, hesitant voice, but it’s so adorable!
Of course, now you want to dance with me any time there’s music in the movie, even when I was still in the middle of eating dinner and when I was working! You had a hard time understanding why I wouldn’t dance for every line of music, but hopefully I made it up to you with our “waltz.” You liked it when I twirled you around.
I’m so happy that you like to dance with me. I know it won’t last.
Love,
Mommy

howdy! Dancing and movement is pure spirit and bliss – and children GET IT.. such a shame that we as we get older lose the love and freedom they have. take lots of video… I have several I am storing away for 21st birthday parties… classic styles of dancing by my kids…
anyway – here is my Dear Peeps..

Enchanted is a great movie. One of my absolute favorites. And dancing with our mini dance partners is the best. 🙂
We did some extra movie watching this week, too. Becca had her first really nasty cold. Two days hanging out on the couch.. http://writermomathome.com/dear-kid-saturday-first-real-cold/
Here is mine! My pregnant butt is too emotional for this!

what a wonderful idea! great way to remind ourselves to take a moment, reflect on our children, and document our memories. thanks!
Love dancing with my boys and glad that you and TJ have had time to watch great movies together. That reminded me that I should get Enchanted to show my son. Never thought about it, but it will be at Disney when we go.
