You know you’re a mommy blogger when…

  • you tuck the kids in at night and hop on your computer to write up your day as a post.
  • your kid says something hilarious and you can’t decide whether to tweet it or throw it on your blog.
  • you compose captions in your head for photos before you even upload them to your computer.
  • you’ve ever introduced yourself to new people with your Twitter handle or blog name.
  • you started calling your kids by nicknames you invented as aliases for your blog.
  • half of your friends are known to you mainly by their online handles, not their first names.
  • your favorite kind of playdate is a tweetup.

This list was made with my tongue  firmly in my cheek, so I hope no one is offended. What have I missed? Add yours to the list by leaving a comment. 🙂

That’s me: Christina Gleason. I’m a writer, editor, and disability advocate. I'm a multiply disabled autistic lady doing my best in this world built for abled people. I’m a geek for grammar, fantasy, and casual gaming. I hate vegetables. I cannot reliably speak, so I’ll happily conduct business over email or messaging instead.

  1. This list applies to me also as a Daddy Blogger. TheAngelForever and I will constantly look at each other when one of the kids does something and say “Bloggable Moment!” Oh and I know virtually all of my friends via online handles and not real names. I have to admit that, when we first met, I couldn’t remember your real name (I have trouble with that) and it helped that I knew your domain name that had your name in it. People’s names I forget but domain names I remember!

  2. I love this. How about not just the captions, but you start writing the blog about the event as it happens and you are so happy that your intro line is catchy…
