When I came downstairs yesterday morning, TJ was already halfway to the stairs with the Valentine’s Day present he picked out for me, a stuffed unicorn.

“Mommy. U-nee-corn!.”

Tom gave me two cards, one from him and one from TJ. They were both very nice. I had planned on exchanging cards after work, of course, so they had to wait, since I still hadn’t signed the cards I got. Tom also had a cute little red felt bag with Diner Dash 2 in it for me. We weren’t supposed to get gifts because we’re going to a Matchbox Twenty concert next week, but he said it wasn’t expensive.

I guess TJ picked the unicorn out himself, and he wanted to give it to me as soon as they bought it! They’d gone shopping the day before while I was upstairs taking a nap, and Tom said that TJ had the unicorn in his hand, ready to go upstairs. “Wake up Mommy! U-nee-corn for Mommy!” So precious.

My “Happy Valentine’s Day” sounded more like “Vantine’s Day, Mommy!”
