Your 2 month appointment was today. We had to wake you up to go. (You slept 8 hours last night! You got up at 5:00 and went back to sleep… weren’t quite ready to wake up at 8:30.) You’re now 10 pounds 12 ounces and 21.5 inches long. You’re in the 5th percentile for length and 25th percentile for both weight and head circumference. You’re doing all the developmental things you’re supposed to be doing.

Unfortunately, there are 4 vaccination shots at the 2 month appointment. It’s better for you in the long run, but you cried so hard. You screamed and your whole head turned red. You were sobbing. I told you I would take you for ice cream if you were older. You settled down a little bit when I held you, but you still cried for a while.

You went back to sleep when we got home.

Fast forward to after lunch. You’ve been so upset. Screaming and then the pathetic cry and whimpering. I wish there was more I could do than just give you Tylenol. Daddy’s snuggling with you on the couch while I work. He tried putting you down for a nap, but you just want to be held.
