I was just about to scold TJ for emptying out his diaper bag, but reason took hold, and I stilled my tongue.
“TJ, are you taking everything out of your diaper bag?”
“Mmm-hmm.”
“What are you looking for?”
“The Etch-A-Sketch.”
And sure enough, with a little more digging, he produced the Etch-A-Sketch, triumphantly. It’s a little travel-size Etch-A-Sketch, which is why it wasn’t as easy to find as you might think a normal-size one would be.
I’m glad I didn’t immediately jump down his throat about the mess he was making. It wasn’t just for the sake of making the mess. He was on a mission!
