Everyone knows that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and everything out there is turning pink. Polyvore is running a site-wide design contest in honor of the occasion, and this was my entry. (Ahoy, there be affiliate links below!)

A friend and fellow blogger, Amanda Henson, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in 2014. #AmandasArmy was formed to support Amanda and her family through this despicable disease. Amanda is kicking cancer’s ass!

The Open Hearts necklace is available from Studio Jewel, where $20 from the sale of each necklace goes directly to Amanda and her family.

This also goes out to every woman and every family who has been touched by breast cancer – and all cancers, for that matter. Do your self-exams. Visit your doctor(s) regularly. Get checked out. Follow up.
