Listening to children’s music all the time can make you want to scream, but it can be hard to find music that Mommy and Daddy enjoy that doesn’t contain inappropriate lyrics. I decided to come up with a few playlists of music that I listen to that wouldn’t get my son in trouble if he suddenly started singing the lyrics in public.

My criteria for family-friendly music:

  • No cursing
  • No sex, drugs, or alcohol
  • No glorification of violence

This family-friendly playlist is comprised of music of the ’60s and ’70s – a little before my time, but still music that I enjoy. And the kids can have fun dancing to some of them, too!
