Dear TJ,

You decided you wanted to go to IHOP for lunch today to get a Scary Face pancake. Unfortunately, that promotion was over, and you were disappointed that you had to order your usual Rooty Jr. But you were in quite a silly mood anyways…

For some reason, you told me I was fired. I don’t even think I did anything wrong. You just got a big smile on your face and said, “Mommy, you’re fired!”

I asked you who would be your mommy if I was fired. You thought about it for a moment and said, “Ali! She will be the substitute!”

So Ali from The Craning Gap will be the substitute mommy when I’m fired, apparently. He took it back, of course. He was just fooling about me being fired today. But I’ve warned Ali so she’ll have a heads up when the time comes.

Love,
Mommy

  1. Yeah, well. What can I say. I got kids beggin’ to come home with me! All the time! Linin’ up!

    … Yep.

Though, Ro can’t marry him if he’s her brother, that’s just creepy.

  2. I ahve to tell you that HSb did fire me when he was three years old. He was mad at his nursery school teacher and when i backed her up he fired me from being his mom. I told him that he can’ fire me that I was his mother until the day he died. he then unfriended me…that’s right, before the age of facebook, my son told me i was no longer his friend. I told him he was not my friend, but my son and that when he grew up if he was lucky and I liked him , he would then be my friend. Well, he never fired me or unfriended me after that, Luckily I could still stimmey a three-year-old. Having more problems with the now 17 year old version of the boy. I think if he could he would fire me right now and never take it back. But teenagehood will pass hopefully sooner rather than later.

  3. NHL hasn’t tried firing me yet, but I do get the old “I don’t love you” from time to time. I just roll with it and tell him that I still love him.
