TJ’s 3rd birthday party is tomorrow night. I had to switch the date a few times to accommodate family members. TJ’s actual birthday is on Sunday, which was when I originally had the party scheduled, but my youngest brother is going back to college on Saturday. My mom is driving him back. I don’t think TJ would be very happy if Grandma Debbie missed his birthday party, so I switched it to Friday night. But then my other brother was able to come up from Georgia with his wife and new baby, and they’ll be leaving to go back home on Friday, so I moved it to Thursday so they could come.
It’s been at least a month since TJ decided he wanted an ice cream cake from Friendly’s. It’s all he’s been able to talk about. Whenever anyone asks him what he wants for his birthday, the only thing he says is, “Cake!” I placed our cake order last week.
I picked up all of the plates, napkins, and other assorted party items yesterday from Party Warehouse. Tom will be picking up the ice cream cake and some pizzas on his way home from work tomorrow.
It’s the first birthday party TJ’s actually had a part in planning. I’m excited. I just need to get the camera battery charged up so we can capture some snapshots and some video!
