Golden Ticket Holders

I am pleased to announce that I was chosen as a Type-A Parent Ambassador for this year’s #TypeACon! My fellow 2015 Type-A Parent Ambassadors include Anne Parris, Kelly Whalen, Amiyrah Martin, Lisa Lehmann, Nicole Bullock, and Jamie Lieberman.  The Type-A Conference was the first blogging conference I ever attended back in 2009, and I haven’t missed an annual conference since then. For this distinction, I was one of the first Golden Ticket recipients – lifetime passes to each year’s annual conference – a small but wonderful group of women who have made a commitment to the industry conference we find most valuable. (Thank you, Kelby Carr, for the honors!)

The first Type-A Parent golden ticket holders – with Minnie Mouse, of course.

I’ve been liveblogging Type-A Conference sessions from the start, a practice that has helped me retain more of the information I’ve learned from conference speakers and shared that knowledge with bloggers who were either unable to attend the conference themselves or were at the conference but had a hard time deciding which sessions to attend during any given time-slot. It’s a matter of pride for me that conference attendees have told me they’ve been able to choose their sessions based on my liveblogging schedule, because they know I’ll take good notes and can therefore attend another session. Back in 2012, I posted a handy guide to my first four years of conference sessions on Type-A Parent. (I need to update it to include the most recent conferences!) You can read my posts from 2013 with the Type-A Parent tag and from 2014 on by the #TypeACon tag here.

So what does my ambassadorship mean? I’ll be writing a series of posts for the TypeAParent.com. It means I’m still liveblogging this year’s conference, but now it’s in more of an official capacity! (I am being compensated as an ambassador.) I’m also going to be attending the Type-A Parent NYC Bootcamp on August 1, a trip I hadn’t originally been able to make. If you would like to meet me (and everyone else) at either the NYC bootcamp or the annual conference in Atlanta from October 8-10, you can totally use my affiliate link to buy your conference passes!

I can’t wait to see everyone at Type-A again this year. I miss my tribe!
