It’s official: Rafflecopter has been given the thumbs up by Facebook for its method of allowing “Likes” to translate into giveaway entries. This makes me happy to share after my famous post about Facebook TOS and Giveaways.

Let’s face it; many of us run giveaways on our blogs for two reasons: to give our readers a chance to win cool stuff and to build our own following. Facebook’s promotional guidelines were murky enough about the whole no-like issue that I stayed away from the Facebook Like option on Rafflecopter for my own giveaways. But no more!

According to Rafflecopter’s blog post, they were in communication with Facebook, and after making changes to the wording to their “Like this page on FB” option, Facebook has explicitly stated that this is in compliance with their TOS. Facebook essentially said, “Yes, this is cool with us.”

So you don’t have to worry anymore about having your Facebook page suspended for trying to build your fan base through giveaways. If you use Rafflecopter, you are in compliance!
