Grandma Kitty went with me to your appointment this morning. You hadn’t slept very well at all yesterday, but you slept from 9:30 last night to 6:40 this morning. Then I had to wake you up around 8:15 to go to your appointment.
You’re now 15 pounds 8 ounces, which is the 20th percentile. You are 27 inches long, which is the 60th percentile. Your head circumference is also in the 60th percentile. Dr. Griffieth wants us to feed you three times a day instead of only twice, and he wants us to try the meats again. You’re right on track for your developmental milestones, although you’re not yet sitting by yourself or babbling with consonant sounds. We got a referral for an orthopedist because the doctor said that your hips are a bit tight, so we need to get that checked out. When Daddy was little, he needed to sleep with bars on his legs and wear special shoes. Hopefully you won’t have to do any of that. The hip check was the only time you cried with the doctor, although you were eyeing him suspiciously throughout the checkup.
You got four shots in your poor little legs. You screamed. The nurse was very good though. You had stopped screaming before she left the room. You fell asleep in the car on the way home after I dropped Grandma Kitty off. I’m going to see if I can sneak a nap in for myself!
