The Irish Blessing is a song that has comforted me since learning it for my high school show choir. It’s quite beautiful in four-part a cappella harmony, though I can’t recall who did the arrangement. Alas, I am only one person, but as a soprano, I did get the melody. The recording is unpolished. I considered redoing it because my voice got shaky. I’m leaving it. I’m not emotionless today, and neither is anyone else.

Here are the lyrics:

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
And until we meet again
May the God who loves us all
Hold you in the palm of His hand
Amen
