Your company wants to reach out to women, possibly even mommy bloggers in particular. I can be your brand representative – your brand advocate – at one of two (or both) upcoming conferences… Type-A Mom Conference and BlogHer ’10.

Sponsor Me at Type-A Mom Conference

Type-A Mom Con is being held in Asheville, North Carolina from September 24-26, 2009. Mommy bloggers from across the country will be converging on Asheville to learn from blogging experts on a variety of topics. My conference registration has been taken care of because I am a Type-A Mom editor. From what I can tell, we’re taking over pretty much the entire hotel. Several conference sponsorships are also available, and I’m willing to work with you if you opt to have naming rights over any part of the conference.

From the conference site:

Type-A Mom Conference is a unique mom blogging conference designed to help you take it to the next level. The conference will feature some of the most influential, admired and insightful mom bloggers talking about topics like power social networking, branding, blogging, finding your voice, and turning your passion for blogging into a real paycheck.

  • Hotel accomodations at the Crowne Plaza Asheville for four nights – $540 $270 (already booked, sharing a room)
  • Total sponsorship cost – $790 $520

What You Get

  • I’ll wear your logo apparel at the conference.
  • I’ll blog about how awesome your company is for sponsoring me, a minimum of twice pre-conference, once during the conference, and once post-conference. I have this blog and ChristinaGleason.com to promote you on.
  • I’ll place your banner ad on my site for three months. You can choose this site, ChristinaGleason.com, or BestMomAward.com. (That’s until November 30, 2009.)
  • I’ll regularly tweet about how awesome your company is for sponsoring me, a minimum of five times per week. I have two Twitter accounts with a combined total of over 3,000 followers: @cutestkidever and @ ChristinaGayle.
  • I’ll hand out your samples or swag to the other conference attendees.
  • I’ll organize a giveaway to promote your products/services on my blog for non-attendees before the conference. (Optional)
  • I’ll liveblog or live tweet the conference sessions, plugging you as my sponsor during each session.
  • I’ll talk up your company as I socialize at the conference!
  • Other ideas? I’m open to suggestions!

BlogHer is the most talked-about women’s blogging conference of the year. Next year’s annual conference event will take place in New York City on August 6-7, 2010. This year’s conference had over 1,500 attendees and several hundred additional guests who participated in “Lobbycon” without participating in the conference sessions. Here is a list of 2009  conference sponsors, to give you an idea of who’s already reaching out to the attendees.

  • Gas and tolls from Albany, NY to New York City – $100
  • Total sponsorship cost – $960

What You Get

  • I’ll wear your logo apparel at the conference, if branded business casual apparel is an option. I’m willing to wear a magnetic branded name badge if appropriate apparel is not an option.
  • I’ll blog about how awesome your company is for sponsoring me, a minimum of twice pre-conference, once during the conference, and once post-conference. I have this blog and ChristinaGleason.com to promote you on.
  • I’ll place your banner ad on my site until after the conference is over. You can choose this site, ChristinaGleason.com, or BestMomAward.com. (That’s until August 2010!)
  • I’ll regularly tweet about how awesome your company is for sponsoring me, a minimum of five times per week. I have two Twitter accounts with a combined total of over 3,000 followers: @cutestkidever and @ ChristinaGayle.

  • I’ll talk up your company as I socialize at the conference!
  • Other ideas? I’m open to suggestions!

Are We a Good Match?

You’ll get the most out of your sponsorship if we’re a good match. You’ll not only get a grateful blogger but a real cheerleader and brand advocate if I can get excited about your company.

  • If your company is all about relaxation and stress-relief, I’d love to work with you. I have issues with anxiety and its flip side, depression. If you offer something that can help women like me with mood disorders, I am your woman.
  • If your company offers something for kids with special needs, as my son has Asperger Syndrome, I’d love to work with you. He is currently undergoing occupational therapy and physical therapy. Any toys or pay equipment that would help him build his core muscle strength or tune his fine motor skills would make me very grateful. I’m your woman.
  • If your company makes healthy things that taste good (i.e. Fiber One Toaster Pastries, Fruit Simple Juice), I’d love to work with you. I’m trying to get my family healthier, but we’re all very picky eaters. If we can eat healthy stuff that tastes good, you’ll not only get me as a brand advocate at the conference, but you may have a customer for life!
  • If your company makes attractive, affordable  women’s clothing, I’d love to work with you. My fashion sense is quite lacking, and I would love to be able to tell people that you got me looking a lot less fashion-challenged. We could even work out a wardrobe makeover series on my blog, if you’d like!
  • If your company offers anything that would be of interest to a woman, a mom, a preschool age boy, his dad, a couple of geeks, someone who never gets enough sleep, a picky eater, a small business owner, an online gamer, a writer, an avid reader, a sci-fi/fantasy lover, someone who is inept at housekeeping, people who love to dine out… we can work it out!

Bonus

Sponsor me for both conferences, and not only will you banner ad appear on my site for the next year, but I’ll replace my BlogHerAds unit in the top left sidebar with your banner ad. Premium placement!
