I thought I’d try something different. You see, there are some PR opportunities I’m missing out on because of my follower numbers on Twitter and my subscriber numbers on FeedBurner. I have a lofty goal of reaching 3,000 Twitter followers and/or 500 RSS subscribers by 11:59 pm EST this Saturday, June 6.
Update: We didn’t reach my original goal in time, so I’ve extended the deadline to 11:59 pm EST on Friday, July 31, 2009!
And I really don’t want spammy followers or people who aren’t really interested in what I have to say, so my prize is geared toward some of my favorite people in the world: Moms.
I’m giving away a free t-shirt from BestMomAward.com – It’s my site. I designed the shirts. And they are awesome. I’m not just giving away a cheap value t-shirt. In addition to Best Mom in the World, this shirt also says Yes. I’m just that good. There are other sayings on the shirts, and you can choose a different one if you wish. But despite the model the other designs appear upon, you’ll get the white EDUN LIVE Ladies t-shirt as modeled above.
How to Enter the Best Mom Award T-Shirt Giveaway
You MUST do one of these two things:
- Follow @cutestkidever on Twitter and leave a comment on this post with your Twitter name so I can verify you are a real person and not just a throwaway account. (Twitter accounts without a picture, attempt at filling out a bio, or real conversational tweets will be blocked and disqualified. I don’t want fake followers.)
- Subscribe to Cutest Kid Ever with your favorite RSS reader and leave me a comment to let me know which reader you use. I’ll be comparing my preliminary FeedBurner numbers with the end total.
After you’ve completed one of the two above steps, or both, you can earn bonus entries. Here’s how:
- Tweet about the contest up to three times a day, leaving a separate comment on this post linking to each tweet. - Post about the contest on your blog with a link back to this post, leaving a comment on this post that links to your blog post.

- Place a Best Mom Award badge on your blog sidebar or navigation and leave me a comment on this post with a link where I can see it in action.
- Visit the Best Mom Award Zazzle Store and leave a comment on this post to tell me which other design(s) you like.
- Comment on my Non-BlogHer Scholarship post by midnight ET on Monday, July 27 and leave me a comment letting me know that you did.
The deadline is 11:59 pm EST this Saturday, June 6, 2009. I will use Random.org to choose a winner from the qualifying comments on this post. If I do not have at least 3,000 followers or 500 blog subscribers, I will not be awarding a t-shirt to anyone. Instead, I will award the winner with a Best Mom Award bumper sticker. (I can’t not give a prize.) The deadline has been extended to Friday, July 31, 2009! Get tweeting and promoting! No shirt unless one of my goals is reached!
