March 15-19 is Act Happy Week. Did you know that? I didn’t know until recently.
Life can really get you down sometimes. I know that I’ve been in a bit of a funk since January, and it’s been very difficult to get out of it. I’m taking Act Happy Week as a personal challenge. I’ve battled with anxiety and depression for years, but I’m going to give positive thinking a try.
Exhausted because I couldn’t get enough sleep? I’ll try a 20 minute nap to cheer myself up. If that doesn’t work? I’m going to try and find something else to brighten my day so I’m not such a grump.
TJ’s being obnoxious? I’m going to try and remind myself that he’s normally a happy, healthy little boy, and I should be enjoying that as much as possible.
Work dragging me down? Yeah, I write about some pretty depressing stuff on a daily basis, but once I finish writing for the day, I’ll be sure to find something cheerful to pick me up.
What will you do for Act Happy Week?
